Originally from Florence, Italy, and based in Barcelona, my name is Lorenzo Vecchia. I’ve been professionally photographing architecture, interiors and still life for over ten years. In recent years, I’ve been commissioned to work with architects, interior designers, hotels, restaurants, the fashion industry and the luxury real estate market in both Spain and Italy. When I’m not shooting for clients, I run some personal projects based on urban landscape and interiors. I first seriously pursued photography at the end of 1999; from the beginning, I took it extremely seriously – working on every single aspect of my technique. At the same time, I improved my background in art and visual communication, because all these elements must conform to realise your own vision, revealing the best way you can show and display a space or an object through your own sensibility. I put a lot of pride and passion into my work, because these pictures are not only for my client but for myself. I these years, I’ve learned that good photography needs a lot of time: time for thinking, for planning, for staging, for waiting until the sunlight shines in the most complimentary way. And the passage of time is […]

Curt Clayton Architectural Photographer; Detroit, Michigan, and Canada My apprenticeship in photography began at the age of 10 in my father’s darkroom where I spent countless hours mixing chemicals, developing film and making prints. After attending the Detroit Institute of Technology I opened my first studio in Ferndale, Michigan and in 1986 moved to Detroit’s Rivertown District. Our studio refrigerator was filled with boxes of sheet film; cleaning film holders was a daily task. Over the course of my long career I have photographed everything from automobiles to bicycles, CEO’s to rugby players and cognac to root beer. Today I work from offices in Detroit and Toronto and specialize in the photography of architecture and interiors for the design, construction and hospitality industries. There have been huge changes in photography since I first began making photographs; rather than mixing developer I’m now archiving digital files on multiple hard drives. Regardless of the medium used for image capture, the most important elements of photography remain the same: composition and lighting.

I have been a photographer since 1968, starting when my father showed me how to use his Leica M3 35mm camera. Back then, everything was manual, and I learned the basics from a great teacher. Decades ago, photography was not easily mastered. Only the very best had the ability to capture compelling images. The progression of photography over the years has transformed tremendously to where anyone with a camera phone can be called a photographer. The need for quality images hasn’t changed, however, there has been a trade-off regarding quality and price. Throughout my career, and through decades of owning businesses, the knowledge and experience I obtained has allowed me to understand the importance of professional images. Because photography has become an afterthought through the rapid growth of technology, a “Profile picture” has become overlooked with little to no value. Professionals may in fact hurt their image by posting photos that do not represent them well. After decades of studying human behavior and anatomy, I have perfected the ability to help people who wish to portray their image in a positive and strategic manner online. Comparing the costs of getting “the best”, to other areas of image reflection that are […]

We have been creating architectural images for more than 20 years. Our images have been seen in publications such as “Florida Design”, “Miami Home Decor”, “Open House”, and “Palm Beach The Island”. We are members in good standing of the ASMP, (American Society of Media Photographers), the IAAP, (International Association of Architectural Photographers), and the AIAP, (Association of Independent Architectural Photographers). We have the ability to transform what we see into something that wants to be seen. Our Photoshop services include altering skies, changing color schemes, creating wall elements where none previously existed, removing unwanted obstacles such as telephone poles, people, unkept landscape and replacing it with desirable elements, bringing an otherwise ordinary image into the realm of extraordinary. When we shoot, we always evaluate what we’ve imaged on an Apple Macbook Pro laptop, then to an iPad 2. This allows us to slowly perfect the image through minute changes in the elements within a room such as furniture, props, lights, or even camera angle. The iPad gives you the opportunity to scrutinize the final image, making sure that before we leave the set, you have the exact image you’re looking for. When you’re not on the set, images can […]
